Challenge
The Dorsey is a new office development in the heart of Miami's Wynwood district, where the client wanted a signature water feature to activate the main lobby and reinforce the building's modern identity. The waterwall needed to serve as a focal architectural element while integrating cleanly with the surrounding finishes, lighting, and circulation.
The challenge was designing an indoor water feature that delivered a dramatic visual experience without creating excessive noise, splash, humidity, or long-term maintenance issues within a high-traffic office environment.
Solution
The waterwall was designed as a clean, modern architectural feature that complements the building's contemporary lobby while serving as its primary focal point. Constructed from stainless steel, the feature provides the durability, corrosion resistance, and long-term reliability required for continuous operation in a high-traffic commercial environment.
The system was engineered specifically for indoor use, with every aspect of the design focused on minimizing noise, controlling splash, and ensuring reliable day-to-day performance. All equipment was concealed from view to preserve the clean architectural appearance.
The result is an elegant architectural feature that strengthens the building's identity while delivering the durability and performance expected in a premium commercial lobby.
