Challenge
Designed for a new luxury custom residence in Fort Lauderdale, this project focused on creating a refined arrival sequence and backyard pool environment for a residential developer. The goal was to create a design that felt elegant and contemporary while remaining cost-conscious, delivering a high-end appearance without an equally high-end construction budget.
Solution
The design centered around an elevated perimeter overflow water feature that frames the arrival sequence on both sides of the entry, creating a strong architectural first impression before entering the home. Integrated bubblers, recessed star lights within the basin, and a living green wall were combined to create a modern water feature that feels elegant without being excessive.
The backyard pool was designed using the same architectural language, creating continuity between the front and rear of the property. Throughout the design, careful attention was given to maximizing visual impact while selecting forms, materials, and details that could be constructed within the project's budget.
