Challenge
This project was developed alongside the construction of a new custom residence, with the pool and spa serving as a central feature of the backyard. The client had a clear vision for how the finished product should look and perform and remained closely involved throughout the project.
The challenge was not only to engineer the pool, but also to carry the client's vision through construction. Every detail needed to be fully developed before construction began and then closely coordinated in the field to ensure the finished product was built exactly as the client intended.
Solution
The pool and spa were engineered as a deck-level perimeter overflow system, allowing the water surface to remain flush with the surrounding hardscape and creating the clean, uninterrupted appearance envisioned by the client. Throughout construction, the project was closely coordinated in the field to ensure every edge condition, elevation, and finish was executed exactly as intended.
A black porcelain perimeter detail was incorporated beneath the waterline to frame the pool and emphasize its geometry, while a white interior finish creates a crisp contrast that gives the water a clean, modern appearance. The result is a highly refined aquatic environment where precise engineering and construction oversight ensured the finished product matched the client's vision down to the smallest detail.
