water walls
Seamless Architectural Integration
Quiet, Controlled Flow
Advanced hydraulic systems ensure smooth, consistent water movement with minimal sound, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere without distraction.
Low Maintenance & High Efficiency
Engineered with advanced filtration and automation, our systems are designed for long-term reliability, effortless operation, and reduced water and energy usage.
Engineered Water Walls
Water walls are treated as precision-built architectural systems, not as decorative add-ons. Each installation is engineered to control flow rate, sound, lighting interaction, and long-term reliability, ensuring the feature performs consistently while maintaining its intended visual impact over time.
Hydraulic & Structural Calculation
Every wall begins with the math. Weir geometry, sheet thickness, fall distance, reservoir volume, and pump turnover are calculated as one coordinated system, alongside the structural loads the wall imposes on the surrounding build. The result is a feature that performs to spec on day one and holds that performance for decade
Substrate-Specific Material Specification
Glass, acrylic, stone, and metal each behave differently under flowing water. We specify the substrate based on how it handles surface tension, mineral deposition, acoustic response, and long-term wear in the project’s specific environment. The material is matched to the engineering, not the other way around.
Designed-In Serviceability
Filtration, pump access, valves, and control systems are engineered into the wall assembly from the first drawing. Access points, equipment clearances, and component lifecycles are specified before construction, so routine maintenance is straightforward and major service does not require dismantling the architecture.
How It Works
From initial concept to final detail, our process is built to bring ambitious aquatic visions to life. On time, on spec, and without compromise.

Water WallsFAQs
Still have questions? Read All FAQs
How are Smart Aquatics water walls constructed?
Each water wall is fully custom-engineered using stainless steel framing, waterproof membranes, and precision hydraulic systems. Surfaces may include glass, acrylic, or natural stone to achieve the desired visual and textural effect.
Can water walls be used indoors and outdoors?
Yes. We design water walls for both indoor and outdoor environments. Each system is tailored to account for humidity, drainage, and acoustics appropriate to its setting.
Do your water walls require ongoing maintenance?
Maintenance is minimal. Our systems feature automated filtration, water treatment, and refill systems. We also provide maintenance plans to ensure long-term performance.
Can lighting be integrated into the water wall?
Absolutely. We often incorporate LED or fiber-optic lighting to accentuate texture and movement, allowing for dynamic visual effects and mood customization.
How long does it take to design and install a water wall?
Project timelines vary significantly based on scope, level of customization, engineering requirements, fabrication methods, permitting, and site conditions. Each water wall follows a tailored process that may include design development, engineering, fabrication or on-site construction, and installation, making timelines highly project-specific rather than standardized.
